You are a colour magician Amy - love the rainbow quilt.

I'm making a picnin quitl fust now and thought I was brave enough to have a go at machine quilting. But by poor little machine is just not up to the job, so it's hand tied for this one.

Rache

the quilt looks pretty:)

julie

What a beautiful quilt!

Yvette

It's a beautiful quilt Amy! How many times will the white strip be against a white or light color? It will show up once it starts being used - don't you worry!

No matter, I'd be proud to own this one.

Rochelle

Thanks Amy! We LOVE it! As Rene said last night, when you have your quilt retrospective, be sure to gather our quilts for your show! Early...I Spy...and rainbow log cabin!

krommama

love your log cabin quilt. and i love how the colors blend into each other. and thanks for the link! and between you and me, i don't do it exactly that way either anymore. ha!

Amy, I love it. Thanks for all the great links!

Megan

Free form log cabins are one of my faves. This looks great - know what you mean about the white, but still great.

You have done it yet again! I love it- and I don't think the white stripe falls off the page. I actually love how the top half starts softer and intensifies into the bottoms half. It is lovely!

Beth

Love the colors. Nicely done. I have not been able to read your blog daily (Dad w/ cancer) but will try better.

I just stumbled onto your blog and found your baby quilt (or any size) 4-part tutorial. You ROCK! I'm in Austin, too, and about to give birth to my second daughter. I have my first two quilts started ... strips and squares cut ... and someday, my girls will have them. I think I might adapt the ones I was making to be more along the lines of the one in your tutorial, since that would eliminate the time-consuming hand-binding. Love it! Thanks so much for sharing.

That's so lovely!!! I love the backing fabric too :)

What a beautiful quilt on both sides! There is nothing like slipping under a warm homemade quilt on a cold snowy Ozarks winter night.
